Anime color practice

Goku-inspired orange tests your saturation control.

Orange looks simple until it slips toward brown, red, or neon. Use this page to practice anime-style warm colors before playing a full ToonTones round.

What to watch

Orange can turn muddy

Lower lightness too much and a heroic orange starts feeling brown.

Blue creates contrast

Blue companion shades help train hue separation.

Gold is not pure yellow

Gold usually needs lower brightness and warmer hue than a simple yellow guess.

How to practice the orange

Start by memorizing whether the orange feels closer to red, yellow, or brown. That one decision usually decides the score before saturation and lightness matter. Anime-style orange can look simple because the character association is strong, but the actual match depends on warmth and brightness.

After one round, compare your miss. If your guess looked flat, raise saturation carefully. If it looked like traffic-cone orange, lower saturation and move the hue warmer. This page works best as a short warm-color drill before the full ToonTones game.
